1. Who we are

Timxel ("Timxel", "we", "us") is a social mobile app for pet lovers. Every pet gets its own profile where owners share photos, videos and reels, keep daily streaks, track medical records across a family tree, and get advice from the community and verified veterinarians. This policy covers the Timxel app and the timxel.app website.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details — the name, email address and password you use to create a human account, and the account type (pet parent or veterinarian).
• Pet profiles — the pet names, species, breeds, birthdays and photos you add, plus any family-tree links you create between pets.
• Content you post — photos, videos, reels, comments, reactions, streak activity and help posts.
• Health and care records — vaccines, medications and vet visits you choose to log on a pet's profile.
• Veterinarian verification — for vet accounts, the credentials you submit so we can badge your answers as professional advice.

Information we collect automatically

• Device and usage data — device type, operating system, app version, and basic interaction data used to run and improve the app.
• Diagnostics — crash reports and performance logs that help us fix bugs.

3. How we use your information

• To create and operate your account and your pets' profiles.
• To show your memories feed, reels, stories, streaks and help posts.
• To route help posts to the community and to verified veterinarians, and to display their answers.
• To keep Timxel safe — preventing spam, abuse and fraud.
• To fix problems, understand what's working, and improve features.
• To send you service messages, such as security or important account notices.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run an ad network that tracks you across other apps.

4. What's public and what's not

Timxel is a public, feed-first community and has no direct messages by design. Content you post — pet profiles, memories, reels, comments and help posts — is generally visible to other users. Your human account email is not shown publicly. Health records you add to a pet's profile are visible according to the sharing controls in the app; please avoid posting sensitive information you don't want others to see.

5. Sharing your information

We share information only in these limited cases:

• With other users, when you post public content or share pets within a family account.
• With service providers who host, store and process data on our behalf (for example cloud hosting and media storage), under contracts that require them to protect it.
• For legal reasons, when we believe disclosure is required to comply with the law or to protect the rights and safety of people and pets.
• In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.

6. Family accounts

A single household can invite multiple humans to share the same pets. Everyone in a family account can see and manage the shared pets' profiles, memories, streaks and records. Only invite people you trust with that access.

7. Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete individual posts, pets or your whole account at any time. When you delete your account we remove or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep some data to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.

8. Your choices and rights

• Access, correct or delete your account and content from within the app.
• Control notifications in your device and app settings.
• Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, port, correct or erase your personal data. Contact us to exercise them.

9. Children

Timxel is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

11. International users

Timxel is available on iOS and Android in multiple regions. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, which may have different data protection laws. We take steps to protect it wherever it is processed.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
